After Ung spends another $100k in legal fees defending himself from the inevitably impending civil suit, I hope he succeeds in countersuing DiDonato for an ASSLOAD of money. It would be a fitting end if the D-Bag got shot five times, and then had to shell out a quarter million dollars for it.

    THANK GOD.

To the piece of shit spoiled little bastard lacrosse thug: YOU should have been the one charged!

Well that would really be justice. Then again Ung should have never been indicted.

That would be a happy ending to such a tragic story. This is the best news I've heard in awhile. Very happy (though not surprised) for his acquittal. The $hitbags that attacked he and his friend will hopefully get what they deserve.

This is good news, I was worried with all of the family's influence that they had swayed the trial and this would not end up good for Ung. Hopefully he can recoup all of his legal fees and something additional for the ordeal he had to withstand.

    - Good news. Looks like his version of the event, supported by the video and other witnesses, managed to overcome the 'beyond a reasonable doubt' standard of criminal law.

    - In the inevitable civil lawsuit, DiDonato will only have to proove that Ung unlawfully injured him to a 'more likely than not' standard. The outcome of the criminal trial is only one fact that will go into the civil suit/trial. So while he was acquitted of the criminal charges, he may well end up paying DiDonatos medical cost and a lifelong pension (which bankruptcy wont get him out of).

This is great. I hope he doesn't have to deal with a civil suit now...I can only imagine that the Didanato fam is going to try every tool to make life miserable for Ung.

With that said...I'm soooo glad there was video. You all know what the verdict would have been if it there were not any video of the incident.

The amazing thing about this, was how quickly the jury reached its decision.

Basically, a decision this quickly says "why the f*** did you waste our time on this?"

What's really pathetic is that Eddie DiDonato will be known, for the rest of his life, as that little punk f**kwit whose daddy had political connections and tried to commit a travesty of justice, but had his ass handed back to him instead. TWICE.
