      After a bit of escalation we were able to get S&W to agree that the failure is a warranty issue. They are offering a like replacement and to cover the cost of the new stamp.

      Has anyone dealt with Gemtech warranty services recently. My father has a titanium sandstorm that was sent back. The outer tube had a crack through the engraving. It has approx 200rds of 6.8 through it. S&W just returned an email stating that the crack isn’t due to materials or workmanship...

      Where to look for Light 12 value

      Had a chance to look at the light 12 again. It has an L serial so it was built 54-55 making it an fn gun with a newer Japanese barrel. My son will be using the 20ga.

      Hearing protection while hunting

      What is everyone doing for hearing protection in the field. I have a 45 cal ml with a brake that has a real bark. Plan to get another can but it’s not in the cards currently. I’ve had the axial ear buds in my cart a few times but they seem to get mixed reviews.

      Thanks for the info. The sportsman is the 3 shot model 11 which should date to 1939. The a5 being a well used Japanese build would the group think it’s in the 500s? Here are a few pictures of both.
