Tennessee legislature passes bill to arm teachers; leftist lose their minds

In response to RFB's observations, the bill sponsor noted in an interview that arming school staff is already permitted and practiced in more isolated school districts. This bill calls for expansion of this practice to more "urban" areas, and the terms were negotiated to blunt opposition from...

Tennessee legislature passes bill to arm teachers; leftist lose their minds

Do you have some kind of insider knowledge that an absolutist negotiating strategy has produced a long term track record as a winning approach?

Tennessee legislature passes bill to arm teachers; leftist lose their minds

For years the left has displayed mastery at getting small, sometimes seemingly inconsequential, wins, then coming back later to build on those wins. We need to do the same. We forego long game progress by making the perfect the enemy of the good. We've got to remember that this is a sausage...

SB 1097 Likely rewritten to eliminate QHIC HQL Wear and Carry instructors

That's my experience. I remind them that no one will leave the class at John Wick.

      Under water

Some clothes dryers have a tray for drying sneakers, etc. Put that in; place the boxes on the tray; crank it up. That should accelerate drying the boxes.

      Biometric pistol released for sale...

Given the overall dimensions of what was shown I'd conclude that it is unsuitable for concealed carry. So there's that whole train wreck.

      Range for Kids

It's a well run and amply supervised event. The security gate is open so access is very easy.

SB 1097 Likely rewritten to eliminate QHIC HQL Wear and Carry instructors

You say your certification is "via my employer." Am I to deduce from your statement that all the courses you completed were financially underwritten by your employer, and "on company time"?

We need this in Maryland. Liability of property owners that create gun free zones.

For the public sites where, as noted, our taxes go to support, the appropriate public entities should shoulder the liability.

We need this in Maryland. Liability of property owners that create gun free zones.

Advocating for this kind of policy could have some legs--if we mount a campaign beginning with the adjournment of the current MGA session.

      NRA ELECTI0NS AND BY-LAWS CHANGE

Yes. Included in this month's magazines. I'm mostly interested in reactions to the proposed by-laws amendment.

On Ammoland Jeff Knox was queried about Buz Mills (of Gunsite Academy). He spoke very highly of Buz. Tht's why I added him to the list.

      NRA ELECTI0NS AND BY-LAWS CHANGE

There's a lot of buzz about bullet voting for a reform slate in the current election: Phil Journey Dennis Fusaro Rocky Marshall Jeff Knox Owen (Buz) Mills The discussion is to vote for these five only--as a possible means of creating a reform core in the new board. Thoughts...

A relative wants to sell handguns for her dead spouse

I had a similar question brought to me just last week. A call to Pikesville produced the following directives. 1. The widow needs to effect a transfer by inheritance into her name. No HQL required. 2. Widow can then sell/transfer the regulated firearm to whomever she chooses--a secondary...

      Accurate 10/22s

M*CARBO has a spring kit, and a good video on both installation and polishing. For about $19.00 including shipping it looks like worthwhile upgrade.

      MSI Meeting Particulars

I believe there is an MSI membership meeting tomorrow, Saturday. If so the meeting isn't listed on the calendar on the MSI website. Can someone give me some particulars? (And point me to the info on the MSI website in case my cataracts have suddenly worsened?)

Whom offers the 8 hour hgp refreher course

Not quite. For first permit you get to your birth month after the second anniversary of your birth month. My birth month is September. My initial permit was issued in October. It was, therefore, good for 35 months. How could that be? Well, Maryland.
