I went to an event at the Convention Center last month. Carry was not prohibited by law but event security banned firearms inside. You had to pass through Evolv scanners on the way in. It's easier to navigate carrying in PA than MD but you might want to check policies of where you know you will be.
No interest in diy black powder but I visited the Hagley museum this summer and seeing how they used to make it was pretty cool. https://www.hagley.org/plan-your-visit/what-to-see/exhibits/powder-yard
Thanks for that, I was concerned about how much velocity I would lose with a pistol. No plans to run subs while hunting, just want it quieter than the 450. I thought about getting a dedicated suppressor for it but I don't shoot it a lot and adding a suppressor to the 20inch barrel would be...
The Cascade has a "Short Barrel" version at 18 inches. https://bpioutdoors.com/cascade-sb/ I have a CVA muzzleloader that I have been happy with. I'll have to check that one out too.
I like the adjustablity of the new Ruger. It leaves the option of my kids using it for hunting when they get a...
I'm looking to build or buy a new deer gun for next season. I have a Rugged Alaskan in the works. My current deer gun is a AR in 450 BM with a 20inch barrel. I hunt public woods and have never needed to take a shot more than 100 yards. I'm looking for something shorter, quieter, and lighter to...

The following items are prohibited: weapons, or objects that appear to be weapons (with the exception of those permitted by the state of MD via license);
What were the tips? I take my kids out and sometimes we get fish sometimes we don't. I always feel like I'm just trying random things to find something that works. We seem to do much better surf fishing but ponds and lakes are what's around here.
I've been using an ar in 450 since they opened up straight wall cartridges. Charging it's a little noisy but no worse than a fat guy climbing a tree in the dark. I usually rack a round before I get to my tree then safety on and muzzle down pulling it up with a line. I've never had to track a...
The last couple times we've been there have been staffing shortages and long waits to get seated at a couple restaurants. Make reservations if you can.
