      Axil Trackr Electronic Headmuffs

So far no issues with two pairs. I did have an issue with the ear bud set, and they replaced them quickly and no hassle.

Tutoring on a Dillon 550...I want to look over someone's shoulder...

I am outside of Emmitsburg, and that's beyond your stated drive time. I am sure someone closer to you will pop up soon...

Members willing to teach others how to reload

I have my 550 dialed in for 9mm, 380, 32, 223, and 30-30. Different tool heads for each. I haven't competed for years, but I did get some pretty decent results when I did. I do hunt with a 30-30 load that I developed on the 550. Been a few years since I loaded those, I kind of overestimated how...

      1948 Remington model 514 Restored

Some time ago, I was gifted a 1948 Remington model 514. This single-shot bolt action 22 caliber rifle had been stored in an attic for 25+ years and had been forgotten. It sure looked it. When received, every visible metal part was covered in rust, including the bore. The stock had a crack, many...

York Gun and Knife Show Dates Mar 4th – 5th, 2023

Crowded, yes, but in varied widely from aisle to aisle after noon. Pretty similar to the last show in York in terms of vendors and products available. I did find a couple of items that I was looking for, at prices that I was willing to pay...

Brand New Ruger LCP Max... I have an issue! Help

If it turns out that ammo is not the issue, Ruger did have issues with the barrels and they replaced quite a few that I am aware of. They stand behind their product and the return and repair and return back to owner was pretty quick....

      Chert for fire starting

Basswood, Eastern White Cedar, Staghorn Sumac, Balsam Fir, Aspens, Poplars, Spruces, and most Willows are the wood species native to the mid-atlantic region that are good for bow drill. All must be very dry, or you'll spend a lot of time boiling off the moisture. Think dead branches still on...

New to carrying-LCP max in office setting

Not really. I don't have any trouble on ordinary pants. All it takes is practice. On occasion, the pant leg will catch on the firearm when climbing out of the car, exposing the piece, but it's a simple fix once you learn to pay attention. Now, boot cut jeans are another story altogether. . .

      Chert for fire starting

I've taught primitive fire starting for 40+ years to adults (SERE) and scouts. If a 12 year boy can do it once he understands what is going on, everyone here can certainly do it as well. The particulars: The sparks you get are tiny pieces of steel that the sharp edge of the stone cuts off...

New to carrying-LCP max in office setting

#3 is an Ankle holster with several features that make me happy :-) Does not slip down once properly adjusted. Comfortable, even in tropical environment (well, as comfortable as anything can be...).

New to carrying-LCP max in office setting

Three options that have worked out well for me. I switch between these depending on circumstances. https://www.ebay.com/itm/304147820545, or https://www.ebay.com/itm/275138407105, or https://www.ebay.com/itm/293612407280.

      9 mm shooting

Ruger's LC9 is pretty similar to the LCP Max if you want a similar manual of arms. The single stack 9 can be a bit harsh on the hand with a long range session, but I have no issue with that as a carry piece. I generally add a grip cushion for long range sessions for these old hands... On the...

Anyone Using the Axil GS Extreme 2.0 Earplugs?

I have Axil earbuds. First set had problems and was not up to the hype. I emailed the company and they promptly sent a pair of the 2.0 buds at no charge. They would not confirm my query, but it seemed clear to me that they knew they had a problem with the first issue. Anyway I am very eased...

      Paddle holster chafing/padding

I prefer paddles for OWB. I dabble in leatherwork so I cut a heavy leather piece that covers the paddle and extends high and wide enough to soften the contact between skin and handgun. Glue on with E6000. Protects handgun from perspiration aand protects skin from chafing Works well for me on...
