Inexpensive upgrade for an inexpensive revolver.

Well, finally added a black rimfire to my collection. Ruger Precision 22LR with a Vortex Diamondback 6-24 50mm scope. Got her dialed in nicely at the range the other day and plan to have a go at NRL22 matches soon. :)

Range days don't get much more fun than this:

    Anschutz 1712
    Anschutz 1416
    Anschutz 1710

    And a couple of Ruger/Volquartsen MK IV's.

My S&W SW22 Victory. I added a few upgrades but it's a very nice pistol right out of the box. It will make a ragged hole at 25 yards with CCI SV shooting from a rest. Me shooting one handed at 25 yards is a completely different outcome :)

As his son grows, others have switched out the Scout's stock for an adult stock. With inherent accuracy and such a short barrel it makes a perfect walk-around squirrel gun.

    Didn't see this

I want one now. I don't see an option to get one with an adult length stock though. Maybe this will be my daughter's first gun

What happened to your Steyr zephyr II ? Those Anschutz's sure are pretty !!
It was a very attractive little rifle but, about a year ago, I had to send it back to GSI in Trussville, AL (Steyr's US distributor) for several issues with feeding and extraction. They kept it for about 3 months, couldn't fix it, and offered to either buy it back or replace it. I opted for a buy-back and put the $ towards my Anschutz 1710.

I'll say one thing about them: they (Steyr and GSI) stand behind their products.

I understand. I had picked up a new 1 a few weeks back. only thing so far is several times it has extracted the casings into the chamber , and not ejected them to the side. love the trigger. Love even more it uses CZ 457 magazines !! ( I have a slew of the 25 rd mags lol) I do see a Annie in my future. but my question is do I go old school. or something more modern? thanks for the feedback!

Anybody have one of these? (the stock, not the kid :rasp:).

It looks so weird...but I want it. Tell me you have one and that it absolute garbage so I can save my money.

Friend's Anschutz 1712 Silhouette that I got to shoot this weekend. Beautiful stock on this rife. Size and weight fills a nice niche between the 1712AV and the 1710 with a thinner, unthreaded 21.5" barrel that, to me, is more attractive than an 18" threaded barrel. Scope is a Leupold VX3 6.5-20x40. Shoots great, too!
