Range days don't get much more fun than this:
Anschutz 1712
Anschutz 1416
Anschutz 1710
And a couple of Ruger/Volquartsen MK IV's.
I have this in 6.5 Creedmoor. I won’t live long enough to outshoot the gun.Well, finally added a black rimfire to my collection. Ruger Precision 22LR with a Vortex Diamondback 6-24 50mm scope. Got her dialed in nicely at the range the other day and plan to have a go at NRL22 matches soon. View attachment 377182 View attachment 377183
As his son grows, others have switched out the Scout's stock for an adult stock. With inherent accuracy and such a short barrel it makes a perfect walk-around squirrel gun.Friend bought a 457 Scout for his son. The can is mine. Lot of fun with subsonic ammo View attachment 381873
What happened to your Steyr zephyr II ? Those Ansschutz sure are pretty !!

It was a very attractive little rifle but, about a year ago, I had to send it back to GSI in Trussville, AL (Steyr's US distributor) for several issues with feeding and extraction. They kept it for about 3 months, couldn't fix it, and offered to either buy it back or replace it. I opted for a buy-back and put the $ towards my Anschutz 1710.What happened to your Steyr zephyr II ? Those Anschutz's sure are pretty !!
I understand. I had picked up a new 1 a few weeks back. only thing so far is several times it has extracted the casings into the chamber , and not ejected them to the side. love the trigger. Love even more it uses CZ 457 magazines !! ( I have a slew of the 25 rd mags lol) I do see a Annie in my future. but my question is do I go old school. or something more modern? thanks for the feedback! It was a very attractive little rifle but, about a year ago, I had to send it back to GSI in Trussville, AL (Steyr's US distributor) for several issues with feeding and extraction. I'll say one thing about them: they (Steyr and GSI) stand behind their products.
