Yeah, but that was fairly unremarkable in all aspects but price, and it was overshadowed by my (still unfired) FN-49.

I'm probably done with gun purchases for the year. Here are the four guns I bought in 2012 that I still have. As a poor college student, I took a second job at minimum wage for 10-30 additional hours a week in order to be able to afford these. Totally worth it.

I couldn’t agree more. You’ll own those guns forever and in 30 years from now when your shooting them, you wont even be thinking about that minimum wage job.

You can probably unload most of those for a lot more than you paid. Bought a Chinese SKS (with attached bayaonet) for 250 in December and the same guy offered to buy it back for $400 Early January. Supposedly worth 600 - 800 now.

I traded the Howa to a friend for a Romanian refurb Vz.24 and an antique receiver Finn M39 with ammo for both. He really likes it and bought a USGI Carbine not long after.

I actually got offered $500 for my SKS, but then I wouldn't have an SKS.
