The .06 has been dropping deer, elk, and moose for over 100 years, back when ammo was a lot less advanced than it is now. If we do our part (be sure of our backstop, only take ethical shots with a high chance of success, etc.) there are a bunch of current bullets that will work for whitetails and bigger game.
