Passed their House yesterday 70 to 29 and is ordered to their Senate

I hope this is a signal that the senate has all the votes necessary for the eventual veto override.
They had it in the bag a few years ago only for some weakling rhinos to defect after the bill was vetoed.

It was read for the first time yesterday (24 May) and placed on the calendar for a second reading. They have until June 8th. If passed hopefully they'll have enough votes and time to do the veto override.

    Glad to help.

Now their Senate page is posting:
South Carolina Senate Will reconvene at 12:00 pm Tuesday, May 23, 2023 (next Tuesday)

The House has been on an abortion bill with amendments all afternoon and into this evening

Just a small blurb in here about constitutional carry, looks like it’s still alive.
Was just in SC last week (Myrtle area). Lots of “Gun Free Zone” signs around. What’s up with that?

Lots of movement in the last several days in Louisiana's Senate on their (House's) permitless carry bill HB131.

Nothing on South Carolina though. The bright side is that their 2 year 2023-2024 session picks up again next year.

South Carolina: 2023 Session Informally Adjourns, Constitutional Carry Still Alive

The South Carolina 2023 legislative session has informally adjourned without a sine die resolution and has no plans to return this calendar year. Despite the adjournment, both NRA-backed Constitutional Carry bills, S. 109 and H. 3594 are still alive and will be pending on the Senate floor when the legislature returns in January 2024.

As a reminder, H. 3594 received bipartisan support in the House of Representatives, as well as the backing of Governor McMaster. In the Senate, S. 109 was amended to adopt the NRA's preferred language, resulting in two legislative opportunities to move forward in January. There is a strong chance that constitutional carry will be among the first bills considered when the legislative session resumes in January 2024.

Update: Just got a notification that the Louisiana Constitutional carry bill HB131 died in the Senate committee. I'm sure they'll try again next year.

Jeff Landry just won the LA Governor "jungle" primary race outright by getting over 50% of the vote and has already vowed to sign CC.
LA just needs to make sure the rhinos aren't in a position to block it in committee again and this will sail right through in 2024.
