You have to pay your $60 to NRA before they'll let you login and print your instructor cert. You don't get the instructor cert at the class.I wouldn't think the NRA Instructor status is required though in MSPs eyes

Lol of course. But if MSP cares about the coursework then wouldn't proof of that suffice? You have to pay your $60 to NRA before they'll let you login and print your instructor cert. You don't get the instructor cert at the class.
Agreed, I can do up to 16 but that’s with 3 instructors and only running 8 at a time on the range. I like 8-12 as an almost perfect size class. My prefered class is 9 students, 2 instructors and a RSO doing overwatch
There is no proof that you are an NRA pistol instructor, minus the cert that you get, after paying your NRA instructor fee... lol... no way around it.Lol of course. But if MSP cares about the coursework then wouldn't proof of that suffice?
Some kind of certificate or something from the class. Guess Wayne needs a new 3 piece againThere is no proof that you are an NRA pistol instructor, minus the cert that you get, after paying your NRA instructor fee... lol... no way around it.
What other proof of coursework do you think you're going to get?
Can't say exactly how yours will go, but I got absolutely nothing from my class. You show up, do the training, sign some forms. At the end as long as you pass the test they just wave goodbye. You'll get an email within the next day or two explaining how to sign up as an NRA instructor. Some kind of certificate or something from the class. Guess Wayne needs a new 3 piece again
Don't know who did the original but I believe some of the improvements and modularity was Christian Vara. He's not with NRA anymore either. Still a TC and a very good one. He does instructor development a lot. Would recommend him.Larry Quandahl did the old PPOTH I believe. He left NRA, and they make some other cuts to their staff, not sure who they had do CCW.

I made that comment in reference to Bertfish's mention of a certificate.I don't think I've ever attended a class where I got nothing from the class. Sometimes I learn what NOT to do.
I often learn things when I GIVE classes.
I agree. If I make it through this weekend I'll be more qualified than you are.Guess I might as well go get mine now.
Well, you'll get a NRA patch. lolI agree. If I make it through this weekend I'll be more qualified than you are.
Exactly. That's practically a LEO badge in some shopsWell, you'll get a NRA patch. lol
Can't wait to see it on your signature line.Exactly. That's practically a LEO badge in some shops
No one is trying to get around anything.i have a real problem that someone wants to get around this. Experience counts. So you want to teach wear and carry without any experience in even teaching the basic. Grow up and do what the rest of us did and teach some NRA classes for the year and get some experience. And while you're at it take some law classes so you can teach Federal, Maryland and self defense law.
Hey I didn't get no patch when I did it!!!! Haha.Well, you'll get a NRA patch. lol
