Does anyone else find it odd that as soon as the mom's are finished testifying, they leave? They are out of that room like bugs that have just been sprayed with raid. I know there is limited room inside but they obviously do not care to listen to our side of the debate. Emotions spilled, checks collected and then it's time to leave.
Thanks for all that you and Katie do. Attending every bill? I live too far away to make that happen. Hats off to both of you for being there. Yesterday was the first time I stood outside on the bricks holding signs. Bogfoot44, Squaregrouper, myself and a couple of others created an outpost as people were crossing the street before they entered the main mass of 2A supporters that lined the walkways. We had a lot of thumbs up and thank yous. We had a few scorned faces and a woman yelling out her window as she she turned the corner. I have no idea what she said but she was obviously in a hurry.
Always. Although a couple actually stayed for a few on our side. It became abundantly clear as I tried to speak to some in the lobby about sb 273, being heard today, that Chamblee does not allow them to hear other perspectives. They are not allowed to hear any opposing facts or opinions because one may decide to think for themselves, and look up information.
I stood with you, very confused by that woman. There was also the one person spouting "just get a background check... Blah blah blah" as she walked by. Some of the people driving by gave a confused look, but I agree we got a ton of atta boys.

You're the young, white guy with a beard, correct?
Yeah.... Nickberg500! I forget the names so fast. I met a lot of new people yesterday. It was great to meet you and hope to see you in the future. We did get a LOT of atta boys! Yeah, the woman that walked by and said, "just get a background check". That goes to show how unfamiliar she is with the language of the actual bill, as are many others. It is being painted as a background check bill without telling the general public about the gray areas that lie within the loaning part of the bill. As ART 3 said.... the loan part of that bill is a trap.
There were Delegates outside of House JUD that were apologizing to the teenagers that testified for the Nonpublic School GFSZ bill for having to listen to opposition testimony...
I find it interesting that everyone in MDA is some kind of "leader". Everyone who spoke was some kind of county lead. I'm assuming it is so everyone feels super important with their "title".
And I'm sure all those kids that were in Judiciary wrote their own testimony. Those poor kids have been abused by their parents installing terror in them.
It is pretty easy to CALL yourself a leader. It's harder to actually BE one.

The folks in favor of that bill...the guy in the coat and tie in the 3:00 panel...I'm going to have to go on blood pressure meds.
They're attempting to place their people in apparent positions of authority. Who would the average person-on-the-street think more credible?
- An unemployed stay-at-home mother who volunteers with MDA?
- A regional coordinator of MDA activities in Anne Arundel County?
(nevermind that the "region" she coordinates is the cul-du-sac at the end of her street.)
Banks used to play this game - window tellers were all Vice Presidents ... yeah, Vice President of the drive-thru service window.
Hmmm ... maybe all the Patriot Picket members need to be promoted to Regional Directors.
