Got to love the Fudds who will bash gun free zones and say things like “from my cold dead hands” , but then pull shenanigans like this. I don’t jump through a million hoops to get a wear and carry permit in MD just for you to tell me my rights don’t matter here. Shame on the event promoters.

View attachment 407376 Saw the same signage when I went in.
Concealed means concealed right? Was no checks of persons when I was there noonish. I would have left before I unloaded.
I may or may not have carried past the sign. But did walk show with no issues.

Ohh and to the racist POS old guy wearing a veteran hat and patches on his vest, but proudly flying a confederate flag in his booth and had items like a Klu Klux Klan knife in his case, you are a disgrace to all veterans and should be ashamed of yourself.
Little exaggerated there. "Proudly flying" was a 3x5 on a 5 foot pole sitting on the floor when I was there.
And I did see the Klan knife and was actually interested in it. But unsure of authenticity for the price.
It's part of the past. And part of heritage like it or not.

Talked to him and I personally thought he was a pretty cool old guy....guess I'm a racist. Hmmm

Our history is our history, warts and all.

I hope he can sell a shit-ton of memorabilia this weekend.

I went around noon and was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty much a full house and I felt it was worth going to. I only bought some ammo and saved shipping charges.

As for gun prices, they are what they are these days. Blame the demonrats for them as, if they didn't start an open attack on the 2A, the demand would not be through the roof as it is today.

I listened to several buyers who didn't know anything about guns talking to sellers. There were numerous women also buying, without a male insight. With demand like it is, I don't expect prices to go down until the demonrat party is dissolved.

I hope Appalachian gets enough dealers for two buildings. I think the location will bring in a good showing of buyers.

Oh I know what concealed means. Didn't stop me one bit. Just find the fuddery of these places funny. I get it, other places do it too, doesn't make it right.

I don't disagree. No different then selling WWII German nazi memorabilia. The difference is when I see that stuff for sale, the vender is flying a personally owned nazi flag as if in show of support.

Yes, the knife as an item itself is totally fine. Part of the past. I have no doubt someone might want to collect it. But when you're clearly displaying your personal confederate flag in your booth with those items, it's a step beyond "just selling part of the past". Just because someone is cool doesn't make it right to be racist. Let me guess, you're a middle age white male huh? No doubt he was cool with you.

    Shocking guess....even for this forum.
You are in fact correct. Shocker a middle age white guy at a gun show in AA County. Guilty.

But maybe he was just cool with me because I wasn't an a$$hole.

Honest question...Did you even speak to him? Or just assume who he was because of what he was selling and how he was selling it?

So you are trying to infer I'm an a$$hole?

Let me ask you, as white guy, would you walk up and start speaking to a black vendor who is flying a black panther flag? What if it was an Arab flying a muslim brotherhood flag?

Do you not see how a white guy, flying a confederate flag and slinging KKK items is not an open display of racism?

But yep, freedom of speech, "it's part of our history" blah blah, let's just let the old white guy be an old white guy...

BTW, I did enjoy the rest of the show. The young man selling the custom slings was a treat to find, definitely putting an order in for some.

As always, if South Carrol has what you’re looking for, just buy it there. The price difference on at least one handgun I saw compared to another vendor was hundreds of dollars.

The show was fine. Small but fun since I didn’t have anything else to do. Picked up something from SCSG since I didn’t pull the trigger on anything at the MACA show.

Also dropped some cash in the jar for MSI.

Ok? Your on here calling a veteran a racist POS for selling a knife you do not agree with and since I have no problem with that I support racism? You sir are a Fuc**** A******. Go take some Midol and lay down.
It wasn't just the knife. Clearly, you're trying to justify it. You can call me what you want, I'll call a spade a spade when I see it.

Good show. I was inside during the rain. Glad to have met Bigfoot and Someguy. I missed the historic items some are offended by, if one does not like the freedoms in this country of which Veterans fought for then roads with even numbers run North and South.
An Old guy had old boxes of 338 WinMag for $100 we talked about (got him down to $96) and when I began to ask about 300 wsm (which I also needed) he said yeah, not everyone can afford ammunition and he and his buddy started laughing at me so I simply said then you can afford to keep it!
So I tried to support MD gun shows, however, I grabbed some 20 ga. slugs and Hornady Black 300 bo there near MSI.

Oh, the Republican booth next to MSI ?? Did they think they were coming to a bastion of D's they wanted to convert? lol.

With the new laws coming down the tube I think a booth of Attorneys would do well at a MD gun show.

To the promoter, not enough room. No place to conjugate or even text friends info to come out and buy. Sad to see no place to sit and eat for the wives and kids. Food sales would have doubled.

Nice to meet you also .

In fairness to the promoter , this was a test run at a brand new venue to gauge how it would work out , and seemed to be a sucuess . As noted above , it was a high % of actual guns and direct gun stuff , and no tube socks or candy .

There were picnic tables behind the building , but weather didn't cooperate yesterday .

And , I was unimpressed with AA Fairgrounds , as a Fairground . Only two small exhibit buildings , uphill from the big enough for the gun sjow , but too small for any big event parking area couple hundred yards away , miniscule vendor parking . No perment snack bar building .

Plenty of way smaller rural counties have much better fairgrounds .

Random thoughts, though this bum hoof won't let me make it out there this time.

The ammo guy sounds like he'd be an ass, even if he got his way.

AAGOP seems to be making a bigger push than usual lately. Having people registered is a far cry from having people motivated. Both are good, of course, but boots-on-the-ground are pure gold.

As for space? The Annapolis show (same promoter) was killed through political pressure, AIUI. Same with Showplace Arena (MNCPPC all but killed Silverado shows in the area). Short of renting a banquet hall (likely at a premium), there aren't too many places that would be ideologically compatible. Honestly, I'm surprised the fairgrounds 'went there'.

For the MSI gang... I owe you folks some money. I may have to break down and do it through the website...
