In a Friday decision, Judge Reed O’Connor smacked down the rule, finding that the ATF overstepped its authority to promulgate regulations and instead crossed the line into making new law. The Firearms Policy Coalition, which sued the agency along with the Second Amendment Foundation and several individual plaintiffs, celebrated with a late night email to members and supporters.

Since the ATF can not enforce their "law" in 5th Circuit or against any member of the sueing membership, I believe it is unenforceable nationwide.

    IANAL

sure will be interesting to see how MD tries to sidestep this, as they do with every ruling they don't like

Very little is my guess, until something reaches the federal level? IANAL
Nothing right now. This was not vacated on 2A grounds at all. As the summary before clicking on the link even says, it was vacated because the judge said the agency err'd by moving in to writing law, and not regulation with the effect and scope of the reg.

MD's ban is LAW. So until a judge rules it is invalid because of 2A grounds, we are still stuck with it.

See my previous post. It has no effect on MD law. The ruling was ATF reg went too far and was effectively law making, which they can't do. MD's IS a law. So zero effect.

MSP via the state board refuses to approve any of the new serialized frames for sale. I was told they don't know what safety features the frames have. The reason was ******** considering stripped at lowers are no different. I don't have the money to sue them.

Once again, the law-abiding are being criminalized by irrational Maryland gun-control policies based more on hysteria and gun hatred than on rational thought.

Not sure what happen in other counties--- Frederick County Facebook March 14th post

Once again your Frederick County Sheriff's Office deputies are doing everything they can to make Frederick County a safe place to live, work, and play.
On March 9, at approximately 9:50 p.m., a FCSO deputy, conducting a routine patrol on Maryland 194 north of Devilbiss Bridge Road, observed a gray Nissan Sentra operating above the posted speed limit of 55 mph. The deputy activated his moving radar and obtained a speed of 80 mph.
During the traffic stop, the deputy detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and conducted a search of the vehicle as a result.
During the search, the deputy located a black semi-automatic 9mm Glock Polymer 80 in a backpack on the front passenger side floorboard. The pistol was not loaded with a magazine and no cartridge in the chamber. There was no make, model, or serial number on the pistol. A magazine was also located in the same backpack next to the pistol. The magazine was loaded with seven 9mm cartridges.
Throughout the search, the deputy located a tan 6.5 Creedmoor semi-automatic rifle in the trunk of the vehicle. The rifle was not loaded with a magazine and no cartridge in the chamber. There was no make, model, or serial number on the rifle. A ten-round magazine, for the rifle was located, in the above-mentioned backpack. The magazine was loaded with eight 6.5 Creedmoor cartridges. Additionally, the deputy found a glass smoking pipe and marijuana in the vehicle, while conducting the search.
Austin Lee Stone, age 22, of Frederick, was arrested and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for booking. His charges include handgun in a vehicle, handgun on a person, two counts of possession of a firearm without a serial number.

    Lets see:
    Driving while smoking, check,
    2 PMF's with no S/N's check,
    Doing 80 in a 55, check.

    Dumbass, check.
Didn't anyone tell him to only break one law at a time?
