    Thought I was screwed when the wind took out my tower stand last week; decided to take Teratos suggestion in this thread last year and hunt sitting against a tree. Between lucky and good, I’ll choose lucky!

    Great buck! I've shot just as many deer from the ground as a stand. You just have to be more careful to have the wind in your face and sit still.

    I brought it with me (to use as a handheld, I still haven’t decided on trying to mount it on my bow), but I kept it in my pocket to keep still until it was time to track - but the Ravin broadhead with a double lung shot had it drop on the other side of the hedgerow just 30 yards over.
