Benelli SBE 3 20 ga. Optics options?

My niece just bought one and we are wondering about options. Deer hunter but will hunt from dove to turkey. Prefer a scope so picatinney rail? But we may have to drill and tap. (We have a guy).
Looking for used deer barrel but I don’t think Bonelli made one. And I don’t think we would have a problem with buying it and cutting it down to a proper length and just use rifled slugs and figure out a scope from there.
Sorry, if this is a newbie question, but I have not kept up with the technology. Yes, I am one of those who were allowed/old enough to carry the shotguns in the truck in order to hunt after school, so it has been a while

I have an ER Shaw barrel for my SBE, but my gun is from 1997 and it is a 12 gauge. I think it is going to be tough to find a deer barrel for a 20 gauge SBE3 because the barrels are different than the SBE and SBE2. My barrel works great because the scope comes off with the barrel. Just not sure you are going to find that for a 20 gauge SBE3.
