I shoot numerous blanks out of my BP guns on New Year's day and July 4th. Living in the woods of Davidsonville, where many neighbors do the same thing, no one gets their panties in a wad.

Isn't this the American thing to do?

My dad used to load up a repro percussion revolver with BP and wads on New Years Eve and shoot it off from the front porch. This was in Chevy Chase/Bethesda MD. That was 40 some years ago. Now the FBI/Homeland Security would respond, in addition to the MoCo PoPo. How times have changed. But it's all for the children...
