Upgrading from my lever operated IAC M1887, using a pump seems light years ahead. Switching from top ejection to bottom ejection and pump vs lever will be refreshing to the sporting experience. Although, I think I will miss the +2 chambering in the M1887.
Commentary on pictures from top to bottom
Picture of the box:
Plain cardboard box. Not expecting much here for a $499.99 shotgun.
Opening the box (so exciting):
Sea deep bluing. Maybe I can swim in it when I'm sighting down the barrel.
Browning logo on trigger guard:
I was expecting to see a Browning logo on the buttpad, like those old Winchester buttplates, but I guess not.
Safety:
Very pleasurable light toggle.
Slide release:
Interesting placement, not too hard to operate if you have flexible wrists and can reach with your thumb to actuate.
Bolt face:
I didn't' touch it yet.
Magazine cap:
Nice knurling, very easy to remove and replace.
Barrel with InvectorPlus choke:
So much grease it almost looks like rifling.
Front bead:
Nice long sight radius. Can't wait to dust some clay pigeons.
How do you guys feel about your Browning BPS? I am considering a +9 Nordic Components MXT mag extension kit, any thoughts on those?
