    The sex trade seems like an industry that would be dominated by organized crime. They bring the women to the USA, tell them they have to work off the $30-$80k fee for bringing them. They also charge for room and board etc that also needs to be worked off, they tell the ladies that should they quit, go to the cops etc. that their family back home in a village somewhere will be murdered, and they possibly get the women hooked on drugs to create greater dependence.

    Also, another business model is where the women are not victims at all, just willing participants wanting to make a lot of money. My best friend's uncle worked as a male masseuse for years. He finally quit because he couldn't take all the sex any more. It was getting too tiring as he got older. He would do a lot of in home "massage" and had a stable of wealthy older women.

    I think easy access to sex outside of marriage will have the result of eroding families and for that reason I'm against it and think it should remain illegal. Also, the industry lends itself to sex trafficking, and not just from illegal Asian immigrants, so it needs to be shut down for that reason as well. There is the argument of can it be stopped? I don't know. If it was legal would that keep women from being victims of trafficking? I don't know. Is the damage from trafficking greater than the damage to communities/eroding our families which are already under tremendous pressure nowadays? I don't know.

    I do know that they go after men that they catch really hard. I had a cousin who was approached while walking throug a parking lot on his way to work by an undercover female cop working a prostitution sting. She solicited him, he didn't agree to buy her services, he was a bit confused about what she was asking for money for and asked her to repeat herself, and he and my other cousin who was with him and didn't say a word both got arrested. After he figured out what she was selling g, he said no thanks, started to walk away, and STILL got arrested. Apparently him asking for clarification on how much money and for what she was asking for was enough to get arrested. The other cousin got arrested just for being there while they were talking I guess. At least, that's their story. But I did hear another story of haré trigger arrests by prostitution sting task force where the guy didn't actually say yes to the offer.

    Yeah, I know what he means all the constant casual sex with wealthy women. It gets sooooo tiring. It is seriously getting to the point where I just want to stay home with a robot and some celery stocks. I am also done buying guns because frankly I have too many. I am soooo bored with all the sex and guns.

    A friend of mine owned a legitimate massage business and he told me they wouldn't hire a male masseuse because they got so little business. Most of the women didn't feel comfortable with them and neither did the men.

    ****Yes. The health club I used to go to in Virginia had male masseuses and they got 1/10th the business of the women. Probably 1/100th the business of the really really good looking female massage therapists. I seriously doubt the male masseuses were sick of all the sex from older wealthy women... They were sick from not being able to pay their rent and other bills as they made no money, which is why they left the business.

    As has been said, the women felt uncomfortable having a male masseuse and the males mostly got creeped out with some fat, bald, sweaty guy massaging their inner thighs and butt cheeks. Dunno why, but all the males therapists seemed to be fat, bald, and looked like a sweaty Marlon Brando in Apocalypse Now.... :innocent0

    You may not know that, but sex outside of marriage is already readily available, the illegality of the trade doesn't stop it from happening.

    One way to push back the illegal sex trade is to have a legal one. If you have licensed sex-workers, they will rat out the unlicensed ones in a hurry. I doubt there is much illegal prostitution in Pahrump, NV. Without the aspect of illegality, there is also far less opportunity for organized crime to get involved.

    The degenerate gambler should blame the casino. The raging alcoholic should blame the bar. The irresponsible gun owner should blame the gun.

    Society is not responsible for the lack of morality. I'll let you in on a little secret. People still cheat without access to prostitutes. I know... unbelievable. What's crazier is that it's none of my business.

    The ONLY rational argument against prostitution is human trafficking. I don't know how to solve that but making prostitution illegal hasn't helped.

    Well, then, let's just repeal all the criminal laws. Society will become crime-free overnight! Solved!

    That's going to be my campaign platform.

    Point of clarification, not that anybody cares. It is kind of a big sticking point for folks who are legitimately in the massage therapy trade, though.
    Masseuse = female
    Masseur = male
    There is no such thing as a male masseuse. Unless you get into that whole transgender thing. :innocent0

    Now back to your regularly scheduled program. :D
