    Investigators are on scene of a shooting homicide of a 23-year-old male at the McDonalds at 1130 Crain Highway in Crofton. The victim’s identity will be released once next-of-kin notifications have been made. This appears to be a targeted incident and not a random act of violence. Additional information will be provided when available.

    On May 13, 2022, at approximately 4:45 a.m., officers responded for a report of gunshots fired at the McDonald's restaurant located at 1130 Crain Highway South in Gambrills. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased male with an apparent gunshot wound(s) to his body. A Forensic Investigator from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) and Homicide detectives responded. The victim was identified as Britrain Marcelus Gray, 23, of Odenton, and was working at the restaurant at the time of the shooting. Mr. Gray was transported to the OCME for an autopsy, where the cause and manner of death will be determined.
    Preliminarily, information suggests this is a targeted incident, not a random act of violence and there is no ongoing threat to public safety. This is an active and fluid investigation where the Anne Arundel County Police are urging anyone with information to come forward by calling the Anne Arundel County Homicide Unit at 410-222-4731.     Looks like the little darling had some handgun and assault charges of his own... probably payback for something..

    If it weren't for the gun, then these guys would have been sleeping at 4:30 AM

    I'm not surprised that a murder happened here. That section of 3 has been getting more and more crime in the last several years.
