Not considered "Top Tier", but mine has never failed to go "bang"...

It's been thru 2 carbine courses and several thousand rounds, w/o a hitch...

Thanks for all the info and quick responses.

    Jamie,

That looks real nice. Did you do the color fill yourself?

The twist rate on most DPMS is 1:9, if that even matters to you. Other than that, I've had a pretty average experience with my A-15. My Sweet Sixteen had teething issues, I sent the upper back and DPMS got it straightened out fairly quickly. (OOS BCG.)

I have one. DPMS Oracle. Paid $709 otd from OnTarget.

    Barrel not HPT.
    Not Chrome lined.
    Bolt not MPI.
    Not HPT.
    Castle nut not staked.
    Lower has machine marks.
1:9 twist as opposed to 1:7 to shoot the heavier grain ammo.

I didn't ask questions as the OP was wise enough to do. I'm not bashing. If you like your gun, awesome. If I had researched I would have paid the extra money ($200 bucks) and bought the Colt 6920 sitting right next to it.

    Just sayin'

i have heard both good and bad things about them but i have never had personal experience with one. i would suggest though to look at the s&ws. i just bought one because i couldnt find a bad review! every who has them loves them, and if you could buy one for the same price it might be worth it. just a thought.

I have owned a few over the years. I currently have a LR308.
Never had a problem with any of them.

Interesteing, Whats a good Shtf Ar then?

Oh my...someone is going to get the teir chart.

Generally Colt, BCM, Noveske, Spikes, Larue, LMT, and one or two more are considered VERY good rifles.

For the money I go with Colts...have two and like them both.
