I have had a couple of them. I still have one and won't part with it. I've been hunting with them for years now and have fired many of them other than just my own.
I think it is a fantastic rifle for the money and wouldn't sell mine for more than it's worth.

I own two DPMS rifles that I pieced together and haven't had any issues. YMMV

I didn't care for the chamber in my 308 and went to a better barrel. It did make a great platform to improve on. This is still an unregulated rifle.

I have not had any problems with mine. A good starter rifle for the price. The 1/9 twist can take up to 6x grain. Bullets fine. But if its for just plinkin most the ammo in that range anyway. Goodluck on your hunt. Hope you end up happy with whatever you get.
