They check IDs for magazine sales so no BAR or FAL mags to Maryland residents. I have been twice and both times the sales people didn't really seem to care if I bought anything or not. Neither knowledgeable nor helpful and, in one case, downright unpleasant. I had such bad experiences that I won't even buy from their website. Plenty of other places to spend my money.
Visited there when I still lived in MD. Not only will they not sell mags to MD residents they also will not take a C&R from MD. I was an online customer buying parts for years but no more after I saw that policy.

When I was in my FAL/ BREN phase Sarco's MG Dave was my best buddy. Seems only he had a solid grasp on what they had in inventory. But that was decades ago.
I also have a problem with companies and shops that have a policy of not accepting my C&R. Would prefer to spend my hard earned coin with those who honor my 03.

Mary & I have been there. its across the bridge from where i grew up so we browse when we go up to visit family. definitely old school place (think flea market, garage sale, pick-a-part type of place in a warehouse), but we have found some gems in there (a lever action and a bolt action Remington Nylon). sales folks aren't too interactive with the browsing customers so they let you be as you look around. pistols, rifles & shotguns and piece-parts.

the next building up the road is where Heritage Guild is located. if you're going to SARCO, then stop into HG. its night and day from SARCO. indoor range, new & used guns, bow & arrow section, etc. and HG will sell mags to MD residents. they ask for your ID, look up the law and say ok.

**** Sarco. They're not friends to Marylanders, and we shouldn't be patronizing their business.

    Yeah agree.
We should never support a business who has tons of parts for obsolete weapons systems usually at rock bottom prices and often not available anywhere else and that has also contributed to the same for decades.
If you need mags, I would suggest finding a friend in Pennsylvania or shopping somewhere else.
Alas, the good ole days are not so swell any longer.

We should all shop Interarmco instead. :sarcasm:

No clue why, it's a zero-tolerance policy not just no C&R pistols to FFL-03's.
They won't even ship a new RIA 1911 etc. to a MD FFL-01.

They do have a lot of hard-to-find parts though; as Mawkie said Machine Gun Dave knew where everything was, not sure what/who the corporate knowledge base is now. MGD helped me out with parts to rebuild a JSAR 1941 and finding some obscure early Colt parts... unobtanium elsewhere.
