I'm having some issues with my (edit: bolt action-cva cascade) 350 legend- basically the extractor isn't always grabbing the case and pulling it out of the gun. Works occasionally, doesn't work most times. I'm not sure about this, but it seems like it has more issues with a empty/fired case than if I just try to cycle the bolt and pull out an unfired round.
I was at the shooting range last saturday and asked a few guys there (thanks again if you happen to be on here) and they recommended just soaking the end of the bolt in something like WD-40 for a while, and then re-oiling to see if it's just carbon fouled etc. Anything else I can check on my own or anything to know before I possibly attempt to fix this myself? The extractor seems to move/return with finger-pressure so I think the spring is still functional and it's just dirty/fouled? But I'm not super experienced/not sure. Thanks in advance for any advice, happy to answer questions or test things out and return if needed
