I realize this is a small part of a larger effort to restore state supremacy over county specific gun laws.
I was near to a Fairfax County park recently and noticed to sign prohibiting carry of firearms. It specifically mentions that persons with carry permits are guilty of a 1st degree misdemeanor if they carry in the park.
1) Does VA law allow for the recovery of legal fees for the plaintiffs in cases where such prohibitions are successfully challenged?
2) Who in Fairfax Gov / how should I notify them that their recent prohibition of carry in public parks utterly fails the Bruen test? I think it would be worth notifying them to see how they choose to respond.
Thanks!
