Previously I was filling my PCP guns with my 3000 PSI scuba tank. This worked very well when I only had 2000 and 3000 PSI guns. When I moved up to the 4000 PSI guns, I had to fill partially from the tank and then use the compressor for the rest. What a pain.
My Air Venturi Wingman 74 came today. After inspecting it and finding it fine, I filled it halfway using my scuba tank and now am filling the rest of the way using the compressor.
I used AOA's calculator and figure I can fill from 3000 to 4000 14 times before I need to refill the tank (starting with a tank fill of 4300). That is really going to make me use my .25 caliber rifle more and I can throw the tank in the car and take it to my shooting range if I want to shoot at longer distances.
I will probably be selling my scuba tank and gauge manifold in the near future.
