Wrong "George".... :-)I just got GW and Georgetown confused again.
Me-------> <-------Also me.
"Revolutionaries" got picked.
My "red" comment was in jest for other reasons. You (we) were right about the name.
However, I don't think the blue is going anywhere.
Oh I definitely got it.My "red" comment was in jest for other reasons.
What an absolute clown show this is:
GW faculty sign letter to not arm university police, siding with student protesters
Faculty from across the university announced plans to stand in solidarity with the 150 students and multiple student organizations who protested armed officers.www.wusa9.com
While we appreciate the notion of “reimagining public safety,” we find the recent decision a disappointing example of a narrowing of the imagination. We also find it inconsistent with the dignity of all persons and more likely to reduce safety rather than enhance it.
See if you can make it through the rest of the faculty letter.
Staff Editorial: Fighting gunfire with gunfire can't prevent violence on campus
We need a holistic approach to campus safety, not one born of desperation and resignation over mass shootings.www.gwhatchet.com
We need a holistic approach to campus safety, not one born of desperation and resignation over mass shootings. Twenty-odd 9 mm handguns send a message that officials know there’s a problem, but arming GWPD is no solution to gun violence. These weapons and the officers who will wield them won’t “do something” unless they’re used to stop a crisis – or to start one.
This unhealthy obsession with radical empathy for criminals is disgusting. Go to class. Go home. Follow officer commands when given. JFC.
Yeah. it's stuff like that that makes me disgusted with those type people.Fvck these people, let them be sheep. Tired of these assholes. If they want to tell the world they’re soft targets, go right ahead. Morons, all of them.

Working near the GW campus today.
Here are some of the organizations promoting it:Somebody is organizing this and paying for it.
This is all part of an organized revolution, aimed at overwhelming and destroying the United States, as well as the other "Western Democracies." It is at an advanced stage.
Works in a few countries like the UK. Though even there, special armed police have become a lot more common.Agreed. From the Article:
Ten of the University’s 12 peer schools equip their campus police forces with guns as of Thursday, including Boston, Northeastern, Syracuse, Tufts, Tulane and Wake Forest universities, and the Universities of Miami, Pittsburgh, Rochester and Southern California. Campus police officers at New York University do not carry firearms.
Three universities in the District – Howard and Catholic universities and the University of the District of Columbia – also arm their campus police officers, while those at American, Georgetown and Gallaudet universities remain unarmed.
An unarmed police force is entirely worthless.
Here are some of the organizations promoting it:
Sunrise GW, Students Against Imperialism, Jewish Voice for Peace, Students for Justice in Palestine, GW Black Defiance and GW Dissenters – along with the District-based group Shut Down DC.

Hey all, Used the search feature and couldn't find any current topics on the GWU Police Dept. They have openings right now for SPO 1's and I was looking to get any insight present or past officers had on the current state of the dept. I'm aware they're unarmed at this time due to politics, but...forum.officer.com
Yeah, but the reason there is that mind set is that too often police do murder someone. Or use excessive force. What an absolute clown show this is:

Shutdown DC is another big one: https://www.shutdowndc.org/Someone is bankrolling those groups. Probably most of the activists are usefull idiots.
Right now they've told the world they only have two armed officers "during the busiest part of the week" (WTF does that even mean?): GW Police Department executive supervisory officers Chief James Tate and Captain Gabe MullinaxFvck these people, let them be sheep. And the sergeant and higher ranks aren't the ones out and about. They aren't the ones encountering the armed subject in the auditorium, they are back at the stain behind locked doors.
It's a way of sitting on the fence. Capitulate to the liberals who don't want to see any armed police, but also acknowledge the reality that you need armed police in 2023. Accomplishes both tasks, while actually solving nothing.
