MD issues permits to non residents but you must have G&S just like residents.
The money side should have me covered.. I’m just wondering if being a 1099’d subcontractor would fly. I don’t own the business I work but I am technically self employed

This might be a stupid question. Does Maryland accept non-Resident Virginia Conceal Carry licenses now? I applied for Maryland Conceal Carry license 7 years ago and was denied for no reason. Is Maryland still denying residents from a Conceal Carry, or do you have to be a business owner still?
Maryland does not accept other lic.
It is said armoured car yes if working or driving and only on duty .
Wow. So all of these users on this message board that received maryland carry permits, it was for work purposes only, and not for personal protection. The Personal Protection reasoning is still getting denied? I guess I will not submit again if that is the case.
Here’s a question someone may have ran into before. About a month and a half ago I submitted my application along with a letterhead from the company I work for, as well as a ton of bank deposit information. While I was doing that paperwork, I started working nights/weekends as a sole proprietor for extra income. I do automotive refinishing for a living. My side gig is filling in for shops who get backed up or have a painter out for vacation, training, etc. so all of my hours are 7pm-1am, or during the weekend. That job is much sketchier than depositing money for my day job since I’m at shops by myself, in some questionable places late at night. Now for my real question. When I go to my interview will they accept deposit slips from the last two months of me operating as a sole proprietor, as well as my time card I keep? I have about 10 deposits already, and none are chump change deposits. I wasn’t sure if they accept anything other than what you submitted originally. Thanks

You should have no problem getting the permit as a sole proprietor (rather than an LLC) if you can produce a couple of schedule C docs from your tax returns showing that you do generate and report income in that line of work. Definitely doesn’t have to be your main source of income.
Separately both my tax preparer and a lawyer friend (who has a MD W&C license) said that establishing an LLC for a side business was of no practical value/benefit (my side “business” generates less than $20k in any given year, sometimes significantly less). Does anyone have experience or advice with applying on the basis of being a “business” owner when the “business” is non-brick-n-mortar, non-LLC/non-Corp, and the actual revenue is so low? (I’ve got over 10 years of tax records reflecting my involvement with this business, though I’ve never separated it out from my personal income [likewise, no spectate banking records, etc.]). Thoughts?
