This made me curious as to the orders of magnitude involved here , so I looked things up .

An 18 pack of store brand tampons are $3.54 at wal mart . Wasn't sure of the context of an 18 pack , but my sources told me a 18 pack would commonly be a month supply .

I can actual see the point of providing them for female inmates . But anybody in the free world who can't swing $4/ month ?
