I never used it and wasn't aware. I guess it uses too much bandwidth to use all the time.

I don't think it was bandwidth, it was a PITA to moderate. There was also a lot of people stepping all over each other to post something and you were never really sure who someone was replying to. I'm 99% sure that DD can still turn the chat feature on, but it would probably only be when we knew we had a mod to babysit the whole time.

Having been a chat moderator--even with a good group--it was a load, and you can never please everyone.

I picked up more free range strange then I could shake a stick at in the Marylanders rooms. Now days what they would call what I did in those rooms would be considered being an online predator.

lol I remember. The whole social internet chat thing was new to everyone and people really got into it, especially the older gals. There used to be a lot of great parties at the Towson Sheraton back then at a club called Warfields. Crazy times...
