@MDShooters on twitter went from 30 followers to over 100 last night too

I've stayed away from twitter, but maybe I'll have to sign up. Perhaps we all should. Then we can know what is going on when MDS is down...

Oh, that's a good idea. I don't want to get "tweets". I'm not cool enough for that.

You will only get tweets from people you follow. Once in a while a sponsored tweet will go to you, but that is pretty infrequent.

I do not have facebook but do like twitter. Good source for almost real time news. You can avoid the douchbaggery by just not following people... Just follow some news feeds...

Is there anything SIMPLE I can do about making it go away? I have Norton 360 I think if that's causing it. :mad54: This didn't happen until the crash yesterday.
It is a by-design feature for CloudFlare. They check connections periodically to ensure that the computer is not one of those involved in the DDOS attacks. As others have mentioned, the longer a single session goes in MDS, the fewer of those connection windows you should see. However, if you are offline for any significant length of time, the system will inspect you again.

If I'm inactive on another tab for a bit........... maybe 10 minutes it kicks in again. :sad20: It's annoying but I have no idea of whats happening.

The CloudFlare page? If it's the browser check, it's just something that we are all going to have to live with until these attacks stop. I suspect that will be after the 6th.

That will definitely be an interesting coincidence.

Please let us know when the attack stops.

Does regular PC based anti virus software detect these bots if installed on your PC?

Yes, the bots are basically a virus on the end users computer.

Do not fall into the false sense of security that anti-virus software may lull you into.

The Secuity software companies can only code to what has already be discovered.
