need help removing the receiver end plate

    It should take about 35 lbs or so to break it loose, I know mine gave me a fit.

    I used a hammer and punch to pop mine loose (was replacing with a PWS EBT, so wasn't worried about damaging the tube/threads), mine was just staked, but it took a few solid hits before it backed off.

    This is true.

    Aside from the marks were the punch was making contact on the castle nut's flats, it really didn't turn out that bad - nut was fine, tube was fine - although in hindsight I'd definitely go with the armorer's wrench if I had to do it over again.

    Actually, if there is some Loc-tite in there, a _little_ heat might help.
