Please help: Carcano ID/worth

Deemed it a POS and stuck it in the far corner of a safe solely as an Italian representative in my WWII collection.

I'm chuckling, because when I first saw these, I thought, wow, another neat milsurp for the collection, and what a bargain. Then I started reading about them, and let's just say there's still a corner in my safe that's empty (well, not really, it's packed pretty tight). I still think I should get one though for just what you say. I need a WWII Italian rifle in the collection. Someday, but I think I've got time.
