This afternoon I added the top two shelves to this storage shelf. I'm in the process of moving all my preps from the utility room to a spare bedroom in the basement.

That’s awesome, but all those glass jars makes me nervous. That’s a lot of eggs in a single basket.

I ordered 5 gallons of this from Home Despot online. Probably an absurd purchase but it makes me feel better. I’m surprised it’s in stock.

I have a couple of hundred paperback books if the TP rolls run out.

I'm so glad my wife upgraded the window curtains to a nice soft fabric. I can cut those up and should be set for a couple months!

Resorted to coffee filters in college for a week - a bit rough but do the job :D
(as a side benefit, it toughens up the barking spider for Mexican or other last ditch food cache meals!)

    .

I’ve started today preparing my ass for a toilet paper shortage.

I’m comparing the wiping capacity and softness of pages between the Midway Reloading Catalog and the Natchez Shooting Supply catalog.

This being modern America and all... Might I suggest your consideration or carrying your own TP for the next month or so?

I predict, if this thing lasts a minute, that public toilets will very soon be bereft of the normal supply. Whatever reason...employee misappropriation, public theft, lack of availability, etc.

I’d also strongly suggest you add “precheck” (for TP) in public toilets if not already in your cross check.

Just a PSA for anyone interested in keeping decent daily hygiene in the forefront.

Good idea. I carry a roll of TP in my truck in a coffee can.

That’s a lot of eggs in a single basket.

I watch this guy’s YT channel some. It’s mostly about colonial era cooking. Most of the dishes frankly look pretty bad but it gives you good ideas on getting by with bare minimum ingredients.

Fast forward to 7:25 to see how to preserve eggs.

That reminds me ... need to keep the chicken feed topped up. We can graze the chix on grass and ferment the feed to make "hand sanitizer."

    Damn, copper sheet is expensive.

I've got 300lbs of layer mash and 200lbs of shelled corn coming in today. That should hold me over til May. Birds can survive on free range only but they lay fewer eggs.
I got 14 eggs yesterday but it won't be long before some start going broody and won't lay for a couple months. Hmm, I better order a bag or two of chick starter to keep on hand.
