Yesterday I took my LCP II to the range and slow fired a couple of magazines off hand into 1 inch at 7 yards. It may be the Galloway trigger that allows me to get that kind of accuracy but I would hate to buy a Max and not get in at least the same ball park.

The draw of an extra 4 rounds in basically the same size gun is pretty strong though. :tap:

Mine is accurate enough as a "get off me" gun which is really what a small pistol like this is good for. I just don't like the trigger bite that I experience every time I shoot this gun.

If you put in a Galloway trigger, it will do away with the bite and cut down the excess movement.

I'll need to consider that. The trigger bite was an issue for me, the first time I've ever really experienced it. For the tool it is designed to be, it's not a real concern in my opinion, but it definitely makes shooting it a less than pleasant experience.

Yes I hear good things about the Galloway and Mcarbo triggers but it bothers me that I should have to replace the trigger on a new gun. Ruger replaced my trigger once, but there was no change in the bite.

I hear you. That is why I changed my to the Galloway. I chose Galloway over MCARBO due to some experiences I had with their parts when I owned a Kel Tec Y2K.

Did you experience the trigger bite before you bought the Galloway?
Yes I did. I actually thought I would shoot 50 rounds a pop till I got through a breakin of 200. A couple of days after shooting 50, I developed a blister. At that point I starting searching shooting reviews to see if it was a problem that could be fixed. That led me to the Galloway trigger.

John, did you change out the trigger yourself or pay a Smith?

I did it. Even if I weren't a retired gunsmith, I could have done it. Look at the Galloway video to get an idea how it is done. If you want to try it, I can fill in anything you need help with. If you are close to ANP, I can take you over to AAF&G and we can do it together.

Thank you for the offer. I did watch the video and that guy did some pretty quick moves. It always looks easy with experienced hands.

I had to send back a Super Redhawk for excessive end shake that was purchased during Covid. Round trip was less than three weeks and came back 100% better. I would hope that post Covid guns have gotten better.
