Certainly looks legit, here are the supreme Court Docket entries:

Link to the "Application (22A948) Injunction Pending Appeal, submitted to Justice Barrett." a very good write up of everything the district court got wrong:
If I'm reading the SCOTUS docket correctly, the appeal for an injunction, submitted to Justice Barrett, is due a response by May 8 at High Noon.

Reading the Application for Injunction was almost thrilling, to see every argument by the City and Chief of Police either torn down by reference to Bruen, or mocking the District Court for ignoring the essential questions presented. It's the Bitch-Slap Heard Round the World.

Imagine a request for injunction being responded to in one week, rather than ignored for several months!

Why, that's unheard of in Maryland; veritably un-Progressive! I've previously understood the function of the courts is to impede and trample the so-called "Rights" of citizens, and slow-walk decisions until all plaintiffs have died of old age.

There's a strange odor in the air this evening: it smells like . . . liberty.

You know it’s going to be a fun read when the table of contents uses words like; flawed, erred, failed, and plaintiff prevails!

@Bob A Yes Sir it did for me. Like having a shot of Jameson.

    IN Fact this tickled ME.

Thus, despite the district court’s histrionics, the possession of these weapons poses no more of a public safety threat than the possession of hands and feet. In summary, therefore, granting relief would not harm the public interest.

Think of it as a signpost on the Road to Recovery of the Republic.

It shows that we are heading in the right direction.
    Only if it is granted.

I take a one week turn around for the state a very good sign though.

Exactly. IL is in the 7th. Means nothing to us until ours goes up to the top; the 4CA is not bound by actions in the 7CA
Ours has been to the top, and was remanded with Bruen. We have been waiting that long for the 4CA the release of the revised opinion.

True, but 4CA may be intentionally sitting on its decision waiting for other courts to weigh in on similar issues first. Same as may be happening in the MoCo case.

Waiting to see what language gets struck down in other circuits so the 4CA can try something else.

The 4CA has already been told its decision was wrong (vacated) and have been told to redo the homework (remanded).
