    I always thought hot linking is when you "borrow" a link from another site that may have come up on google search, in essence sucking up their bandwidth if they have a fixed bandwidth server. Linking something from your own photbucket account would not be "hotlinking"

    Doesn't this forum software have an option to resize all photos? I belong to a few others that will automatically size the photo to their requested size regardless of the original's size.
