How does the work if at all possible? I was at the Salisbury store today and after shopping I parked my cart in Pick up area, Looked down and the was a Walmart a sportsmans ad laying on the floor. I picked it up and opened it up and low and behold they had rifles advertised. One in particular grabed my eye which is a Henry H001 in .22 shooting shorts, long and Lr. for $287. I believe Gander sells the same Rifle for around $499. they also have a Ruger 10/22 carbine for $217.

Will they ship to an FFL? what are the average fees here on the shore? who's the recomended FFL localy?

    Thanks in advance

Not sure why you ask the questions you do. You go to Wal Mart, buy the gun, get escorted to the door and go home. They do the paperwork there.

Unless they have to order the rifle. Then they order the rifle, you wait for it to come in and doe exactly as Streetgang. No big mystery to it.

most of the firearms walmart sells are cash and carry (with quick background check).. i would just go to the nearest and pick one up.

The models they carry are limited -- they carry (or can order), for example, a Ruger 10/22 to their own specs, different from anything in the standard Ruger catalog; and you cannot get the full Ruger catalog, the 10/22 Tactical, for example. But if they have what you want, it's a good price...

I havn't been in the Salisbury or fruitland wallyworld in a long time.

Do they actually have the rifles in the store or just the generic sales ad?

this is true...but if you are just looking for a stock 10/22 you save $50 dollars or so...only downside it pushes out the smaller local owned business'...just like the rem 870..I pretty sure hardly anyone can beat their price on one.

They have a HUGE book of things they can order. Up at the Severn store the older dude with the long hair lets me play with a scanner gun and that book when I'm waiting on stuff. I'm pretty sure that as long as it's not regulated it's something they can get. Also, I don't think my Ruger 10/22 carbine is any different than anything else you'd get from a gun shop. I'm pretty sure that's more of the gun counter repeat it enough it becomes true stuff. Perhaps out resident under-appreciated gunsmith can opine?

I picked up a HD model 870 for $340 out the door. Pretty sure that's hard to beat. But it just means that gun shops are going to have to adapt and over come. If that means they need to start organizing group buys on guns/ammo/gadgets or selling online or whatever (I have no idea how the business works) then they'll adapt and survive.

I bought my daughter's Christmas present rifle in Walmart.

The simple answer to the original question is ... Walmart is a licensed dealer, they have their own FFL

this is exactly why I ask!!

I have never seen any firearms in any of my 3 local stores. I didn't know if walmart had these available somehow thats all.
Kinda the reason it was posted in the Eastern shore section, maybe the "Locals" knew something I didn't.

    1. Drive to a WM store that does, or

    2. Just buy from a local FFL who doesn't have a corporate policy that emphasizes destroying American jobs and exporting American wealth to Chinese communists who want to destroy us.

I didn't know that. Damn, what about Easton/Cambridge?

They generally don't sell guns in the hood. The one in La Plata sells Mini 14s and plenty of semi auto goodness to go with the kiddie and fudd guns.

The WM in Laurel doesn't even sell ammo :(

You guys need to come to Cecil County. Both WalMarts in Elkton and North East sell fire arms and ammo. The WalMart in Aberdeen sells ammo, and I think long guns as well, not 100% sure.
