Blemished hand gun frame for $99 and a standard slide for $204.
    (+ shipping/transfer/tax)
Does not include 23 round mags which are $19.99 each. From all the reviews I've watched, the PSA Rock is preferred over the Ruger 57 and holds up to the FN57 without the $1400 price tag. A work horse without the design frills.
I just ordered this set but with the optic mount slide. When it arrives and when I can procure a couple magazines I will give it a review.

I aint much on the round with 40 grains bullets. AT 1800 fps that makes it juts 250 fps faster than one shooting 22 mag rounds. as the 22 mag I kill animals with is 1550

Looks like a nice deal, but how do you get magazines? Doesn't look like anyone sells them but PSA and they won't ship here.

Over the past few weeks I've been kicking around the idea of a 5.7. For this price it's very tempting. Is it on the roster?

Yes they are on the list. Not a bad price. If I could find mags I would buy another at that price. When I had mine could not find extra mags even on their site.

What the heck in for another one… at this price point I won’t need to put many rounds through my FNs…

if I had other 5.7 guns I might be interested but with the overall cost of 5.7 ammo it seems more of a novelty and I mean that about all the pistols. Say what you will about the FN57 or the P90 but really for the money you can find other combos that perform close to this. There is a reason why 5.7 and HK's 4.6 are niche calibers. With 5.7 throw in no reloading and most likely never being steel cased. These guns would be relegated to safe queens.

If that's the mission, wouldn't a cheap Tokarev get 'er done?

It's not just about FPE, it is about bullet shape, platform capacity, sights and weight. You can't put optics on a Tok or CZ and their sights are both pretty basic. The bullet shape of the 7.62 Tok won't penetrate Kevlar and you won't get a pointed bullet to feed in either of those guns. Additionally, while the Tok is not too heavy, the CZ is a boat anchor and they both carry 8 rounds max as I recall but the FN pistol and carbine can carry lots of ammo and are lightweight to boot.

This isn't all academic. A friend in a government agency used the cartridge in covert ops in Iraq and gave first hand reports of how well it worked. While I have no interest in shooting paper with one, I think it is a good fit for today's modern warfare.

Gah! why does it have to be green? (I'm not a fan of the color)

I've been tempted by the 5.7 Rock for a while. Almost pulled the trigger back when they were running the sales w/ an included holoson 407K. IIRC for $600. That made the gun effectively $400. I wasn't sure if they'd ship the mags and there were no mags avail separately yet on their website.

Hmm, bet I could Rit dye that lower to black. Then pick up a grey (or FDE) slide for a two tone look. I'll definitely want a slide w/ the threaded barrel. Will have to think about this today...

I looked for aftermarket mags and couldn't find any. Some folks tried to modify ruger and FN mags to no avail.

My son in-law lives a few miles from PSA in GA. I just convinced him to buy one so we can test it out at the range down there when I visit next month.
