Mine was as Savage Model 4C bolt action. Probably made in the 30's or 40's. I paid $13 for it from Baker's Gunsmithing in Bucks County PA back in 1976. Still have the receipt and of course the gun.
Im sure it was one of the vintage mossberg .22's. I collected many of them over the years, sold some off recently but still have a bunch in the safe. They really are great rifles
Marlin Glenfield Model 60. Still have it. Just as accurate as the day I purchased it new from Best Products in Towson. It was $49. Has had a ton of bricks of rounds run through it. Only problem was the nylon buffer crumbled from being shot so much.
Winchester 1885 Low Wall in .22 short with 4" hacksawed off the barrel and 3" off the stock to shorten the length of pull to fit my 8 or 10 year old arms it would keyhole a bullet in 50 feet, but it was mine! I still have the gun.
British Enfield MK4 (?) .22 caliber conversion. My father purchased it thru Sears catalog in 1961 for my 9th birthday. If I remember correctly, it was $11.00 and delivered thru the mail.
