It was this one; Crossman M1 Carbine--
Took out a bat, a couple of sparrows and stung my friends butt cheeks on more than one occasion...youthful idiocy. Got wise and built a BB trap as a sheet metal project in 7th grade shop class-- safety first!

Due to my mothers absolute anti gun attitude (her brother managed to kill his best friend with a BB gun with a shot to the temple when they were kids), I had no such items as my friends growing up.

    When I turned 16 I finally bought myself a Daisy 880.

It wasn’t long after that I acquired a Diana 36.

    Still have both of them…

Daisy Model 99 for my 7th Christmas; and 55 years later, I still have it.

Its been back to Daisy twice for complete restoration, a service which they no longer provide :-(

Last restoration they charged me a whopping … $15 !!!

Next Christmas was my Agawam / Ithaca single-shot 22 LR, L and Short. Also upstairs in the gun library …

    Great topic!

I had an early 70's Crosman Powermaster. Eventually added a Kmart 4x15 scope and thought I was king of the world ;)

I was just turned 8 years old and wanted a BB gun. However, I got a stevens 22/410 over and under and that fall dropped my first deer in my back yard.

I posted the first thread in the Airgun forum when it was added in 2011. I had the same question on what was your first airgun. Mine was a Crossman 760. See below.

Mine was a mid-1950s Daisy model 25. It has been called a pump action, but the slide was only used once to depress the spring and cock it.

Me too, still have it, pump hinge needs work, on the back burner for many years.

Got the air pistol few years ago for practice, will be modding for accuracy and sites.

Looks like I am in the popular crowd. I got a Crosman 760 which I still have. It is on its 3rd seal kit which isn't bad after about 40 years. Of course I don't shoot it that often anymore. Then I got the Crosman 150 .22 cal pellet/dart pistol which is also in my safe.

No accidents with mine but my good friend at the time had a Daisy 766 and asked me to catch the bb when it fell out, so he pulled the trigger and just the spring with no pumps put that bb through my hand and it got wedged in the bone on the back side of my hand. Yes, I am an idiot. I then realized how important the rules of gun safety were as I was on my way to the hospital.
