    get wipe out, a bore guide, a good 1-piece rod, and a jag set to run patches on. Ditch the bore snake for anything but quick cleans on the handguns/shotguns...or rifles you don't particularly care about(like an old milsurp).

    Here is more wisdom. Bore Snakes don't do a proper cleaning job. Wipe Out is great stuff, and one piece rods are best.


    ...or rifles you don't particularly care about(like an old milsurp).


    Now that's just foolishness. You can have a lot of fun with a can of Wipe Out and an old milsurp that hasn't been cleaned since the Battle of Berlin.



    And if you accidentally bought a .30 caliber Bore Snake, around here that obligates you to buy a .30 caliber rifle.
