So I called today. I mailed mine Aug 25. The gentleman on the phone said it was received Sept 5th and that it would take 60 days. That puts me at Nov 28th if you only count business days?
I bought one from classic in May, and from what I've seen the ones from AIM are identical. All numbers matching, light refurb, light shellac, stock cartrouches in tact, original scope number lined out, new number stamped on gun, electro penciled on scope mount. Bore was like a mirror, and...
My only complaint with classic was when I ordered my pu sniper. I explained to the gentleman that I had a '43 collection going and begged to get a '43 pu. He basically flat out refused and sent me a '44
Just trying to help a fellow C&R guy out. Apparently in the Hagerstown area a gentleman had a very low serial number Smith Corona 03-A3 stolen from his home. All other guns have been recovered except this one. Last three digits are 703 of serial number. I don't personally know the man, but have...
What is the general opinion of these rifles? I've googled and found many old threads on gunboards (circa 2006 ish) where guys were finding them and paying well under VZ 24 prices, because they "weren't as nice as vz24's". I stumbled into a place that had a crate of them still covered in grease...

I ordered 4. Did not pay for the hand pick, and they were all beat to hell. In fact three of them are so bad my kids can't handle them because of the splinters. So I am forced to sand and do a BLO treatment on them even tho I don't want to. Btw I got a 54, 55, and two 56. None were numbers matching.
I was thinking the same thing. With hearing in the news how they're going after people they consider "preppers" I'm wondering if this isn't one of the triggers that flags them (pun intended)
