      I meandered down to a local hardware store/gun shop today, and what did I find? A Mossberg 75410 "Silver Reserve" It's a shotgun It's O/O It was $549 So what's not to like? It's made in Turkey, I know. The fit and finish looked pretty good, and the wood stock was nice too...

      It seems everything I saw was $1500+ on gunbroker. I was hoping for a lot less, something sub $500, of course, that may not be realistic. And i would rather have an SxS than I would a semi-auto.

      I have an 870 now, but with a short barrel. I would like to have a gun that I can use for real birds and clay birds, both occasionally. And by occasionally, I mean a couple times a year. I guess I need to hope to find a deal on a used one. Would moving to a 16ga get me a cheaper gun?

      I actually compared the trigger side by side with a Taurus 605, and the Ruger was much smoother. Of course, maybe it's gritty compared to a S&W.

      Or something like that. I filled out the hand-cramping paperwork today at MSAR, on a stainless .357. It looks like a nice gun, and seems to have overall excellent reviews. It did cost more than the comparable Taurus, but I think that's a long term investment that will pay off.
