Just saw report on Channel 2. Was actually pretty fair about the "accidental" revote issue. Clip from interview of "Shall not be Infringed"? was used.

In my time with OCC both of us were asked if we were lobbyists on a few occasions, that means we have spent a lot of time in Annapolis. I don't mind doing it in the least but we need new faces that have the same reaction. Make time, these are your civil rights we are talking about!!!

Folks the Soap box ends on 4/9 at 12:01 we simply can't throw in the towel. We are all angry, but focus that anger into motivation, we need huge groups ready to spring to Annapolis when the floor votes are called, we need more face to face visits especially from new faces, and from Districts with strong MOM ties. We need to call every donor and demand positions in writing or they will be boycotted. What we don't need is folks going off the reservation and making us all look bad. Mad props to all those i met today you are all champs and it was an honor to work along side you all.

A few things more: the capital police love our peaceful presence.

Be relentless on Facebook of those who voted against us.

Thank those who defended our freedom

^^^This. Channel your anger against these people and work even harder. Nothing is set in stone until the session is over. Keep hitting the donor lists. If they won't listen to us when we present them with facts perhaps they will listen when their money is getting cut off.

Count me in on a "Group Buy" of that sort. I am waiting to hear back from my county election board about the training.

Maybe see if we can set up once a month at local gun shops, the Second Saturday of each month would be appropriate. :)

I did the training last month. It's a 30 minute session.

Am planning to set up voter registration tables and start a petition to have all hearings, sessions and votes on live feed. Who wouldn't say yes to that?

Technically we are, the only difference is that we're not paid to do it, we expend our own time and resources, and it's for principal. As private citizens it's not only our right, but our duty, lest we all get the government we deserve.

Here's my 2 cents. I am very upset , but more than that I feel betrayed. Like most of you I have spent alot of time making calls, sending emails, faxes and traveling back and forth to Annapolis for a just cause, something I truly believe in. We played by the rules and expected our voices and strength in numbers to matter. But it seems our opposition let us to believe it did , even our supporters, then it all goes away with one meeting between the governor and the democrat delegates. It just bothers me that we seemed to have been played. Look, I am a pessimist by nature, so I know it was an uphill battle and that a bill would be passed eventually. I just hoped we would get some decent amendments and somewhat of a compromise on certain things. I don't feel real good about a court battle and a referendum would be worse. I also have a problem with losing some of the other battles, gas tax, death penalty, dream act. This state is going to hell in a hand basket and so many people just sit idly by and let it. I' m still with all of you and in the fight ,but it will take me awhile longer then 12 am to get over this. Thanks for listening.

    Here are my thoughts.

This battle is part of a larger war which has been fought by the Progs against this country for more than a century. They have systematically our culture and sense of national identity. They have taken over government education and media outlets in ways that would have made Stalin envious. They have replaced the husband with the state, and destroyed the family. They have eliminated personal responsibility and individual accountability. Production and achievement are not worthy objectives, unless result is the greater glorification of the state.

All of the rights we hold dear have been severely circumscribed, or are on the list. Most of us here have a special reverence for the Second Amendment, since we clearly see the harsh experience which compelled the Founders to put in the Bill of Rights. Some of the Progs have that same understanding, and for that reason want it eliminated. For the rest, this right is another bump in the road to be smoothed out on the way to a Workers' Paradise.

We have a constitutional confederation of independent states. Most of us think that the feral government has become a leviathan, and is strangling liberty by its pervasive dominance in every area of life. That implies states should take back their status as sovereigns, subject to the feral government only in areas which are uniquely federal.

With the power to make decisions comes the opportunity to fail. We can't expect that when the opposition has been organizing and fighting for a century, we're going to spend a few weeks sending emails and win the day. We can't expect that any court is going to save us from a century of inattention and indolence. And, mea culpa. Mea maxima culpa.

It took the progs a century to wrest this country from those who loved Liberty. It is going to take at least that long to get it back. Many of us will not see that day. But I'm sure that like me, most of you are not putting forth this effort for just yourself.

We have to start at the school boards, town councils and county commissions. We have to take back legislative districts when we can. It may not happen in the next election, or in any of the next ten elections, but it will happen.

Over? OVER?!? Hell, it's just begun. Fight's on!

    We will prevail.

Dang, that's good. I like the feral government Freudian slip, if that's what it was. Seriously.

This is a long term, multi-generational fight. In fact, their anti-gun bill seems designed in part to phase out ownership over time, as Dianne Feinstein of CA has already stated re national policy (dry up the supply)...make it harder and harder from one owner/generation to the next.

There were more than my average amount of typos in that post, but "feral" was not one of them...

I agree we all are but we need more folks from here to make a trip to Annapolis and show the depth of our group!

I think this was posted in another thread, but I thought it might belong here, too. I spent 20 minute speaking with my delegate right before the hearing began. It was, I thought, productive. I didn't think I get an "no" from him, but I thought I'd get some good amendments. This is what I emailed him.

"That was one of the most disgusting abominations I have ever seen in my life. I cannot express in words the level of contempt I have for this state, and the general assembly. The conduct of the committee was an absolute outrage. Had this travesty occurred in the presence of the Founders, you would all be hanged."

I am not registering my weapons and I am not paying a registration fee....ever.

But the reality is that they will soon show up to our doors based off of only one recorded purchase. We know of at least one practise run. As for probable cause to enter your home: that form you filled out for your regulated purchase. As for unregulated? I trust obama bin laden to provide anything they want to states like md. Who will be first of us? They will come one at a time. Full body armor. Dogs. Yelling. Pointing guns. Tasers. Your dogs will likely be killed. And all we have to do is sit in jail until scotus hears our case and we are freed and jobless.
