Will be called a terrorist and any resistance will result in your perforation.

The cops/military sent to retrieve will not be given any real information about who or what you are, just that you are possibly a part of a terrorist group or one of those lone wolf home grown violent extremists.

If there is a federal/presidential order to turn in and or collect semi-automatic firearms, you can bet that order will be carried out.

The police and the military are paid to follow orders. Blindly!

To say it would never happen is whistling past the graveyard.

I don't think there're enough military/LE to do this, not even accounting for those who would disobey.

why not just dissemble the gun, give up YOUR stripped lower(the only part tracked), get a 80% and build and new one with no way to track. would this be wrong or illegal?

I'm putting some forethought into alternatives to the AR15, considering the nationwide climate against "assault" rifles, and Maryland's recent gun bans. I fear one day the libs will have their way and AR's will be forced from our hands.

I'm looking for legitimate ways to stay ahead of the game, so 80% lowers don't really do this. (i.e "I have an AR15, but you don't know about it.) AK's are so widely known that they probably won't do either.

What other, MD legal, options would you all recommend?

Your question is a good one and the reason a diverse collection is a good idea. While I would never hand over my possessions, in the event they are confiscated without my knowledge or consent, I have some different devices in different locations.

As far as substitutes, there in the Mini-14, which I have, M1A, and lots of bolt gun options. While a bolt gun is not as versatile, it serves a purpose. I also have some lever action rifles and some other items.

I thought M1A was a no-no? They could go with the M-14S supposedly, as far as bolt actions, Savage with a 10rnd magazine would be good, provided you know how to use it (aka training).

Are you saying HBARS will be banned / confiscated? If no, then an HBAR bought legally in a state as far away from here as possible to avoid MD knowing about it/

If yes, a Mini-14, a Highpoint or Keltec carbine, or maybe a Mini-30.

An army colonel, IIRC, did a paper for a college class. It was on the probability of US troops actually firing on the citizens refusing to give up arms under a confiscation order. This was with actual interviews with many levels of the armed forces. The spirit of the responses was some convert squads would, the rank and file members never. Armies of convert forces do not exist, so it was determined the US Gov't would go to the UN to get their forces to confiscate the firearms. The response to that from the rank and file was foreign armies do not occupy American soil.

Blue helmets make good targets. They (the gov't...at many levels) are trying to do this a little at a time, not wanting to make the obvious...obvious. To do so would rile up suspicion even to those viewing through rose colored glasses...well maybe not Rosey O'Donnell. Steadfastness and conviction in belief will win, both on political and freedom fronts. I personally believe in the hardfast American ideals we have lived and which have allowed us to prosper. I have lived free as a free American and have conviction to continue to do so...

And this is what I have been saying all along...

The Blue Helmets ... NOT POLICE AND U S MILITARY ... Would be the ones coming to your neighborhood to take arms. HRC is pushing for that treaty to be signed and adopted as hard as she can.

Alcoa could never produce enough heavy duty tin foil to ever make me believe the Blue Helmets will ever set foot on American soil for the expressed purpose of confiscating America's firearms.

How many millions of hunters are there? Deer rifle = sniper rifle. Deer hunter = sniper. That gets ugly.

We are extremely fortunate that those other country's rolled them dices and took them chances so we could see the outcome.

And hunters make up between 4 and 6 percent of the total U.S. population.

We can call it 5 percent. 16,000,000 hunters is a lot of hunters.

Some say confiscation could not happen here... Ask the Canadians & The Australians what happened to their guns...
We are Americans. We tick just a little differently.

That's a lot of snipers with long-range, high-powered rifles with armor piercing bullets who can knock the hell out of blue-helmeted visitors from outside the range of an M-4.

And the number gets even bigger when you include the pool of U.S. Veterans who are secretly domestic terrorists waiting in the wings.

It's good that we can all joke about it. Let's hope it stays that way.

But if it does go to hell, we'll need a slogan to shout out before going into battle.

Yelling PORK-RIBS or BACON-BITS might work.

I have read a few bad reviews but mine runs perfectly and is easily the most accurate 7.62x39 rifle I own....and I have plenty.

IF and that is a BIG "IF" someone TAKES the AR, about the only thing left is a Marlin 1894 in .357 or .44.

Then, we can all sit around the campfire and sing, "Happy Trails to you, until we meet again."

That lever action would, of course, have the John Browning modification for full auto!:innocent0
