Well if he/she returns they are going to be dispatched. That would have been a perfect archery shot - the scrape it was sniffing at.
DNR has been saying coyotes are in every MD county for at least 2 - 3 years
The real question is have you seen any roadrunners?
Aside from the My Cousin Vinnie reference (yutes), the common pronunciation of coyote is "kai-yo-tay". My Texas relatives say "kai-yote".
Assume you're referring to this? Wouldn't survive the winters.

This one
......that is 100% a Coyote! Where there are Coyote's....you won't find many Fox. They are mortal enemies. Fox will move on or be killed off by the Coyote since they are competitors for the some similar food sources.
They probably are not a good thing to have chasing your horses.
Thinking this one was just an advanced patrol No impact yet on my fox population . Had two attempting to grab some squirrels under me today. Added a fur bearer tag to my license and I have some blue tooth speakers I'm going to setup around my stand to run predator calls through. I'm even reaching out to english horse lady to let her know. They probably are not a good thing to have chasing your horses.
