I carry mine decocked and unlocked.

Its DA/SA with no safety, so the first trigger pull will take a little more effort to prevent an accidental discharge.

Just to be really safe, no mag in pistol, slide and frame carried separately. Practice assembly, inserting mag, racking, I sure you will have more than ample time to get into the fight.
    That's the MoCo Council Carry!!

My first carry piece was single action piece of crap Helwan. Scariest thing I ever did with that gun was decock it. My thumb never slipped, but it did stress me out. It was less stressful just to keep it cocked and locked. Probably safer. Even safer when I traded that cheap ass hunk of death in for a good quality Smith and Wesson. But we do the best with what we have.

Whosoever said practice with it, the way you want, until you are completely comfortable (read confident) was right.

IMO, if you ain’t comfy with cocked n locked, you aren’t ready to carry/employ your weapon. That is the simple truth.

Competence is the foundation of confidence.

I mean, it's almost like asking if you should carry your hunting gun or rifle with one in the chamber.
