Police Are Using the Dallas Shooting to Go After Legal Open Carry

I was just about to post on this, it seems like this is the narrative that the news stations have been told to push. Last night, I had on the Philly Action News broadcast, followed by NBC/CBS national news broadcasts, and then the BBC World news. In every show, they made mention that Ohio is...

      London Armory Confederate Rifle help

Thanks, I noticed it had no sights other than the front bead which wasn't consistent with what I've found online. From a cleaning perspective as a wall hanger. I've gently used steel wool and corrosion x to clean up rust along the barrel. For the stock, i was thinking a mild vinegar/water...

      London Armory Confederate Rifle help

Entirely plausible. Not much to go on other than an old story, figured at the least I'd get around to getting some background on it. Thomas Ketland evidently stopped all production in 1831.

      London Armory Confederate Rifle help

Had a buddy looking thru my collection and I had completely forgotten about a Civil War Rifle that my grandfather had acquired at some point in the 70's. The backstory is my grandfather was a state farm agent for an older client who had no family to leave this civil war rifle to, and he gave it...

      tire shop

Those shops seem to be open 24-7, and I'm pretty sure they specialize what gets shipped inside the tires rather than fixing them.

Two Hunters Missing on the Severn

Just awful for all involved, I can't imagine being the buddy who got dropped off at the dock. Things change on a dime on the water, and in the winter there's so many other factors that compound that. http://predatorgear.com/ If i had a spare grand laying around I'd definitely pick one up just...

      Tuckahoe State Park Incident

Sounds very similar to the horse crowd's complaints in the past, and a common tactic to get the public lands all to themselves.

      Worst Waterfowl Season in Years?

It'll be the same as it's been the past few years. Once duck closes, the huge #'s will arrive the following day. It's Science. Seriously though, I'd give up the first split or the early seasons just for a 15 day extension on Ducks. There's a treaty or whatever which currently sets the...

The OFFICIAL 2015 Bambi Whacking Picture Thread

Took one late two years ago and thought I had the largest doe I'd ever seen. Ended up being an Old deer with battle wounds who was running around with two other bucks.

      Cecil County News Stories

I saw on the North East 21901 facebook drama page that a number of the lots that were held by the lakeside rental office were sold off to a state trooper supposedly. If so, hopefully that leads to a cleanup street by street. The just arrested a guy yesterday with two lbs of weed, and two...

      Deer processors - honesty?

I'll put a vote in for butchering your own. Definitely a learning experience, but provided you have patience and a sharp knife you'll pick it up pretty quickly. Vacuum sealer is a must, and a grinder. I just use a meat grinder attachment for a kitchenaid that we have and it works just fine...

      Cecil County News Stories

It's crazy that my tax dollars will be paying not only for their "Treatment". We also have to foot the bill on the Joe's Taxi and eventual Bus rides there. Methadone should only be given out at secure hospital facilities, not a for profit business who's main focus will always be Profit 1st.

      Looking for private land $$$$

Over near Blueball there's a clan who's well known for their addiction to any hunting gear that they come across.

      Duck Season Second Split

Need to get the blind setup on the boat, if that fails I may just break out the kayak. Things don't tend to get going until later in the season on my property. Stinks geese aren't in as there is roughly 100 or more feeding on the grasses every time I go out.
