      Delaware passes permit to purchase

I knew it was just a matter of time before Delaware went "full Maryland" and started passing the same nonsense we do. With a veto proff majority the Dems are going to become more activists with each passing year. I'm shocked they haven't pushed a sales tax yet.

      Ammo & Gun Tax Proposal

They are such liars. Yeah this is all about the burden of shooting injuries on the state's trauma center system. Maybe we should tax gasoline or automobiles since car accidents send WAY more people to shock trauma than shooting victims.

Whom offers the 8 hour hgp refreher course

Oh sure, NOW you tell me LOL

Whom offers the 8 hour hgp refreher course

That's wild. So essentially you could take the initial course, get your permit, then take the renewal course a week later.

Whom offers the 8 hour hgp refreher course

Does the renewal course have to be taken within xx months of permit expiration? Like if your permit expires in October can you take the renewal now or need to wait until closer to that date?

Maryland SB1 - any one caught violating?

OMG the "...and I pretty much just happen" line is hilarious and so true

      MSI beats Mo Co

This is terrific news. I was worried about local jursidictions taking it upon themselves to pass stricter gun control laws than the already draconian state laws. I just hope the state doesn't eliminate the preemtion.

SB1 - Injunctive relief is provided for private property, locations that sell alcohol, and public demonstrations.

Which is what I was trying to say in my initial comment. I said it would take a new version to protect 2A rights. "The Second Amendment Act of 2024" that would require places of public accommodation to allow CCW on their premises, for example.

SB1 - Injunctive relief is provided for private property, locations that sell alcohol, and public demonstrations.

Yet the CRA forces these private property owners to admit people of a particular race, religion, and ethnicity that the owner did not want in his/her business. How are 2A rights any different?

SB1 - Injunctive relief is provided for private property, locations that sell alcohol, and public demonstrations.

So it sounds like it would take a new version of the civil rights act to guarantee the right to carry in private places of public accommodation.

SB1 - Injunctive relief is provided for private property, locations that sell alcohol, and public demonstrations.

Thank you, good to hear. The sign thing is sort of ridiculous anyway since you may simply have just not seen the sign. Also, to me, it's like public accommodation laws. Can businesses decide which parts of the constitution to abide by and which parts go ignore? With guns they can. Sure strikes...

SB1 - Injunctive relief is provided for private property, locations that sell alcohol, and public demonstrations.

I'm still struggling to understand the Oct 1 status of "No Guns Allowed" signs at public retail establishments. Would hypothetically violating a no gun sign subject one to criminal prosecution and/or loss of permit under SB1? Or would it simply be a situation where if you are asked to leave and...

SB1 (2023) - Criminal Law - Wearing, Carrying, or Transporting Firearms - Restrictions (Gun Safety Act of 2023)

Terrific news, thank you MSI. I'm at the beach this weekend, and it's good to know I can still legally carry at restaurants down here and other private property. Those are the two parts of the law I have the biggest issue with. Even an Obama judge showed a little bit of sanity.

Arundel Mills Mall new Security K9

As long as I can get into and out of Bass Pro I really don't care. Nothing else there that I have any interest in.
