I check www.ammoseek.com when I can't find anything locally. They list the ammo and sources in order (price per round) and link to the supplier. I've bought from several and have had a good experience every time.
Update on Alumalite USA. The company got a tracking number from the USPS for my order on August 26. They took the order to the post office on September 3 and delivery is scheduled for September 6.
Update on Thompson Center. They must still be in chaos. Nothing from them. If you order...
I prefer the Ruger SR22. It isn't picky about ammunition and it has two grip sleeves that allow you to easily fit it to your hand. The threaded barrel gives you the option of later adding a compensator or a suppressor.
Update on S&W/Thompson Center: customer service today said he will no longer lie to people as he has been instructed. My order will NOT ship today or early next week. They have shipped nothing in the past three weeks. They have no idea what is in stock and what is not. They have no idea when...

Some FFLs will fax it; some won't. Bass Pro said no, but Constitutional Firearms said yes. Bass Pro lost a sale. I have the same firearms buying history with both places.
I asked the MSP why the long delay last week. The story I got was that they are receiving 750-900 applications a day and they are working as fast as they can, but they are serious about keeping guns out of the hands of criminals.
I asked how many applications out of those thousands have...
Constitutional Firearms has made a decision to force the issue with respect to MSP having 7 days to make a negative finding or approval is assumed. I too got a fast track approval from them while my wife was still waiting for approval from another shop for a purchase made weeks before mine. I...
I had a conversation last week with MSP about my paperwork taking more than two months to process and received a call from the FFL in a couple of hours telling me it was just "not disapproved."
I'm waiting for approved collector status and had a separate conversation and e-mail exchange with...
